While Democrats are still basking in the glow of Bill Clinton’s speech last night, the bigger story is what happened prior to the highly anticipated address from the commanding general in the “War on Women”. After some questioning occurred over the removal of “Jerusalem” and “God” from the Democrat party platform, the committee hurriedly placed the language back in; this despite obvious disapproval from the delegates when the measure was brought up in the chamber for a vote. A resounding chorus of “no’s” drowned out the affirmative votes and left DNC chairman Antonio Villaraigosa dumbstruck on the stage of the Time Warner Cable Arena.

Adding Fuel To The Fire

For those of you who believe that global unrest is key to reshaping the political, social and economic structures in Europe, the U.S. and elsewhere – you are mistaken. Raging against the “machine” is not only a misguided philosophy, it’s idiotic. Capitalism and free markets are not the reason the world is facing the problems it is today. Crony capitalism is what ails the world – a long with a host of accomplices. Chief among them are big, bloated governments here in the U.S. and across the pond.

Going Green; Going Bankrupt

Giving futher credence to the fact that Barack Obama’s green energy agenda has been an epic failure and drain on the wallets of taxpayers, one more government subsidized company has bitten the dust according to the Wall Street Journal:

A maker of rechargeable car batteries that was using a $118.5 million Energy Department grant to build a factory in Indiana filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Thursday, becoming the latest green-energy company backed by the Obama administration to run into trouble.
