If there are still reasonable individuals left looking at Barack Obama and finding it hard to make up there minds as to whether he’s a left-wing ideologue, then there may be no hope for you. I’m just saying. After the president’s most recent “off-prompter” moment in Roanoke, Virginia, there should no longer be any reservations about who this man is, what he believes, and what he’s trying to do to the greatest society the world has ever known.
This is what Karl Marx, Jr. had to say just a few short days ago:
There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. (Applause.)
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together.
These comments have prompted Mitt Romney to finally take the kid gloves off and go after Obama, but even more importantly, Obama has shown his true colors to the American people. This quote did not come from a member of the administration or one of the countless czars that he’s appointed. These words came out of his mouth. This anti-capitalist collectivist drivel emanated from the mouth of the president of the United States. Not Roseanne Barr. Not Bill Maher. Not Sean Penn. Not Rosie O’ Donnell. The president. That means something.
We expect collectivist drivel from the Hollywood left, the media, liberal pundits, and even Democrats in Congress. But we don’t expect it from our Commander-in-Chief. His denigration of wealth and the creators of wealth, large and small, is offensive and embarrassing. His attitude towards our economic system and the people who drive it is an affront to the very spirit of America. He lacks a simple appreciation of the following: Individuals built this country. Not government.
But for those of us who have been looking at the president’s background, this is par for the course. This was not some gaffe as the administration is suggesting. It was purposeful and Obama believes every word that he said. Governor Romney had it right. This is who Obama is. He is the product of the Harvard faculty lounge. He is the product ACORN. He is the product of mentorship courtesy of the late Frank Marshall Davis – an avowed member of the Communist Party USA. Barack Obama is not some innocent bystander getting caught up in all of this economic destruction and Marxist rhetoric.
He is its architect and promoter.
